Marianna V. Vardinoyannis honored the ”Angels of Joy” team in a modest ceremony held in the auditorium of the “Marianna V. Vardinoyannis-ELPIDA” Oncology Unit.
In recognition for their contribution to the work of the “ELPIDA” Association of Friends of Children with Cancer, Mrs. Irene Lemos Sturdza was awarded the “ELPIDA” Honorary Plaque and her team members, the Medal of the “ELPIDA” Supporter.

The Panthessalian Association of People with Multiple Sclerosis honored the work of the “Angels of Joy,” who are also dedicated to helping people with disabilities. This recognition took place at a scientific workshop held on May 11th, 2019 at the Volos Exhibition Center. The workshop, entitled “The Invisible Symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis,” was part of the campaign for World Multiple Sclerosis Day (30thMay).
Since 2016, the “Angels of Joy” have been implementing specialized artistic programs in Special Education Institutions. Specially trained artists and scientists work with people with disabilities in these institutions, offering them the freedom to express themselves through the arts. This approach helps build trust and allows individuals to escape from feelings of isolation.

In an event focused on solidarity, inclusion, understanding, and acceptance, the Victor Ardant Association of People with Disabilities recognized and awarded the “Angels of Joy” work by organizing an event attended by the artistic team who performed “The Tango of Angels,” expressing warm thanks for this honor while sharing touching experiences from the parents, the institution, and the people living with disabilities themselves.
A meaningful statement remembered from this day:
“You do not choose uniqueness, nor can anyone negate it.”
