VETA GAKOU
PSYCHOLOGIST – FAMILY/GROUP PSYCHOTHERAPIST
Veta is a Family and Group Psychotherapist. She is one of the founding members of the Hellenic Society for Systemic Therapy (EL.E.SY.TH.) and a member of the Board of EPEAS for a number of years. She is a full member of the American Society for Group Therapy (AGPA) and the International Society for Family Therapy (IFTA). She has studied Therapeutic Pedagogy at Freiburg University in Switzerland as well as Psychology at the University of Lausanne. In Greece, she was trained at the Athens Centre for the Study of Humans (AKMA) in systemic approach, family therapy and group therapy. She joined the scientific team of AKMA and participated as a key collaborator in the coordination of educational programs that took place in various European universities, as well as in the training of the scientific staff of KETHEA in Larissa. She is in charge of the Angels of Joy “Emotional Support Team”.
ALEXIS KOKKOS
EMERITUS PROFESSOR OF ADULT EDUCATION IN THE HELLENIC OPEN UNIVERSITY
Alexis Kokkos holds degrees for Law and Sociology of Education. He was a founding member of the Hellenic Open University where he was Dean of the School of Humanitarian Studies, Professor of Adults’ Education and Director of Studies of the homonymous postgraduate program. He is the founder and President of the Scientific Association for Adult Education (2004). The Association has spread its activities and projects in Greece as well as abroad and publishes the Adult Education scientific journal. He has served as Scientific Officer of the National Instructor Training Program and co-coordinator of the Major Program for Teacher Training. He is the originator of the Transformational Learning method through Aesthetic Experience, which has been applied to thousands of schools and organizations in Greece and other European countries. He has authored 12 books and 68 articles on adult education, transformational learning and art in education. Panagiotis Athanasopoulos is a Professional & Corporate Development Consultant. He studied Business Administration at Kingston University UK (DMS, MBA) and Counseling Psychology at American Liberty University (B.Sc.). He has multiple years of experience in company organisation and development, in the provision of consulting services as well as Human Resources training. Panagiotis has implemented a significant number of seminars utilising the experiential method and aiming at improving personal and professional skills. Concurrently, he designs and implements innovative training and counselling programmes for private companies and the public sector, as well as organisations in Greece and Cyprus. He is an exclusive partner and representative for the European CADIC Programme in Greece, aiming at developing Cultural Capital in the business sector and a certified Adult Educator by the Ministry of Education. He is a member of the Hellenic Society of Business Administration, the Scientific Association of Adult Education and the Hellenic Society of Counselling and Orientation.
